Marvin H. Olinde brings over 45 years of litigation experience to mediation clients in the fields of general liability, trucking and transportation, premise liability, construction law and products liability. Mrs. Olinde is a partner with the law firm of Taylor, Wellons, Politz & Duhe, APLC with offices in Baton Rouge, New Orleans, and Jackson, Mississippi. She was admitted to the Louisiana Bar in 1978 and is also admitted in the U.S. District Court: Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana. She is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association.
Born and raised in New Iberia, Louisiana, Mrs. Olinde attended and graduated from Mt. Carmel High School in 1970 and from Louisiana State University in 1974 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She received her Juris Doctorate from Southern University Law Center in 1978, where she was a member of the Law Review.
After law school, Mrs. Olinde worked as an assistant attorney general for the State of Louisiana and then as an assistant district attorney for East Baton Rouge Parish. For the past 20 years, she worked as a trial attorney and managing attorney for Liberty Mutual Insurance Group. She is certified by the National Institute of Trial Advocacy. She has extensive civil and criminal trial experience.
