Kelly Cambre Bogart trained at Pepperdine University’s Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution, completing the Mediating the Litigated Case™ program. She served as mediator in over 200 cases, often involving complex, multi-party cases. Mrs. Bogart serves as a court appointed mediator in the Hurricane Ida Claims Settlement Program in the United States District Court, Eastern District of Louisiana.

In Mrs. Bogart’s thirty years of practice as a litigator at Duplass APLC, she has become proficient in several distinctive practice areas. She has a talent for bringing order to complex, multi-party litigation. She sees the big picture and develops a plan of action to achieve the results desired by her clients. For over two decades, Kelly has practiced in the construction defect arena, representing general contractors and subcontractors. She has orchestrated innovative resolutions in that field that have resulted in tremendous cost-savings to her clients. Kelly has practiced in the field of medical device litigation for over twenty years. Following Hurricane Katrina, she represented a first party property carrier in its hurricane litigation and managed a portfolio of approximately 350 cases involving agent liability. Today, she continues to handle bad faith and extra-contractual litigation. Kelly also has experience in toxic torts and environmental coverage issues.
Mrs. Bogart was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, where her father was an attorney and her grandmother was the first female Clerk of Court in the State for the 4th Circuit Court of Appeal. She graduated from Tulane University, Newcomb College, where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority and Phi Beta Kappa, and then went on to receive her Juris Doctorate from Loyola University College of Law in 1994. While in law school, Kelly was a member of the Loyola Law Review and Moot Court staff. She earned multiple awards for attaining the highest grade in her courses and received the Faculty Award for graduating with the highest average in her class.
Following law school, she served as a federal law clerk to the Honorable A.J. McNamara in the United States District Court, Eastern District of Louisiana. Upon completion of her clerkship, she began her career as a litigator at Duplass, where she has practiced ever since, having become a shareholder in January of 2003.
Mrs. Bogart is the proud mother of two daughters, Madeleine and Julia, and one son, Benjamin, who have enabled her to perfect her multi-tasking and negotiation skills for over two decades.
Mrs. Bogart’s bar admissions include Louisiana 1994-present, Texas 2006-2019; U.S. District Court: Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana; and U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit. She is a member of the Federal Bar Association, Louisiana State Bar Association, American Bar Association, and Defense Research Institute.
