Daniel E. Knowles III is a retired United States Magistrate Judge who brings 41 years of legal experience to his mediation clients. In addition to trying numerous cases in both state and federal courts prior to ascending to the bench, he has handled more than 7,500 settlement conferences involving virtually every area of litigation. Moreover, Judge Knowles presided over numerous jury and bench trials from 2003-2019.
Mr. Knowles was a United States Magistrate Judge, Eastern District of Louisiana, from January 2003 to January 2019. Was admitted to the Bar, 1978, Louisiana. Mariners Club of the Port of New Orleans, member, 1982-present; board member, 1992-1994; President, 1993. Fifth Circuit Judicial Conference - member of Planning Committee, 1996; attendee, 2002-2019.
