Coleman Organ

Coleman Organ brings forty-six years of legal experience to his mediation clients – twenty-one years in private practice and twenty-five years as staff counsel with Allstate and AIG Insurance Companies with focus on large exposure cases. Mr. Organ was managing attorney of the AIG Staff Counsel office from 2015 through 2021. He has briefed and argued appeals before the Louisiana State Appellate Courts, United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and Louisiana Supreme Court. He is now in private practice and mediating full-time.

PROFILE

With a track record of handling complex cases, Mr. Organ has successfully first chaired judge and jury trials in both state and federal courts. He has also presented arguments before esteemed judicial bodies including the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Louisiana Supreme Court. From 1977 to 1996, he practiced in private firms before joining the Staff Counsel office of Allstate in New Orleans. Later, in 2004, he became part of AIG Staff counsel, and subsequently joined Bastian and Associates. From 2017 to 2021, Mr. Organ served as the managing attorney at Organ and Associates, the AIG Staff Counsel office. He retired from AIG in October 2021 and has since transitioned to private practice, dedicating his time fully to mediation.

As a professional mediator, Mr. Organ has undergone comprehensive training and conducted over 300 mediations with an alternative dispute resolution company. His mediation clients benefit from his extensive legal experience having tried than 100 trials in state and federal courts.

Mr. Organ was admitted to the Louisiana Bar in 1977 and is an esteemed member of the Louisiana State Bar Association. His commitment to excellence is recognized by his high professional achievement rating from Martindale-Hubbell® in 2022, based on peer reviews.
